Pumpkin Bread

Makes 24 slices

Ingredients

  • 3 cups sugar

  • 1 cup vegetable oil

  • 4 large eggs

  • 1 can pumpkin

  • ⅔ cup milk

  • 3 ½ cups flour

  • 2 teaspoon salt

  • 2 teaspoon baking soda

  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

  • 1 teaspoon allspice

  • 1 teaspoon nutmeg

  • ½ teaspoon ground cloves

  • 1 to 1 ½ cups chopped pecans (optional)

Directions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees and Spray a 9×5 inch loaf pan with non-stick spray.

  2. In a large bowl, mix sugar, vegetable oil, eggs, pumpkin, and milk until well blended.

  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, salt, baking soda, cinnamon, allspice, nutmeg, and ground cloves.

  4. Stir the dry ingredients into the pumpkin mixture until blended, add in chopped pecans if desired.

  5. Pour into the greased loaf pan and bake for about 1 hour 15 minutes.

  6. Let cool before eating and enjoy!
